shirt- details

remember this post by jordan? well, i was quite inspired... it looked like something that i, a wanna-be sewer, could take on. this look is so popular lately with stores like j.crew & anthro, and to think that i could do it for a fraction of the price!

i bought the shirt from target. a nice, soft pink merona v-neck. ordered silk embroidery ribbon, needles, a hoop, and a disappearing ink pen from joanne's. followed these instructions loosely (it became easier to just go with it...)

it only took about an hour, and i think it came out pretty well. with some practice, i could definitely get better. i'd love to hear if anyone else has tried this... any tips or tricks?
