the production process has so far taken over 2 1/2 rooms in my house. my mood ranges from ecstatic (when one turns out just as i'd imagined) to overly frustrated (when the paper cutter trims crooked, or the ink blotches). luckily, we are on the downhill slope. the biggest task that looms ahead is addressing and adhering the labels. it is important to continuously remind myself that they don't have to be perfect, or identical... because they are handmade, each one will be brimming with that personal quality. at this point, i'm aiming to complete my to-be-finished-by-christmas list, and then take a break until after the new year. i will put the other diy projects + to-do's out of my head until then.
i have been collecting items for the house, and this weekend matt and i will go thrifting, and hopefully find some furniture steals. although slightly more difficult since we do not have room dimensions, i think our outing will be fun nonetheless. am looking forward to doing some sifting... i have been perusing craigslist for pieces, with no luck yet. i'd love to rescue a great diamond in the rough, in need of a little tlc. there are some awfully good items out there with tons of potential, and i'm into rewarding projects. also anticipating the black friday ads, which have started debuting around the papers and internet. it is a great time of year for deals. and thankfulness. i could not be more thankful.
hoping for a productive weekend.
