i am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, work-wise. that is as promising as ever when it comes to enjoying the remaining days until christmas. on tuesday, one of my bridesmaids traveled up for an afternoon visit/new home tour/festive gift exchange/new recipe- trying. (lots of things, i know.) we tied on our festive aprons and whiled away the time, catching up while enjoying the sweet smells of these delicious goodies baking in the oven. then we made our way to the bridal boutique where i made the final decision on my dress. one more of my to-do's before christmas has been checked off. i could not have asked for a more perfect afternoon to relieve my stresses and anxieties.
i've been working on putting together a christmas binder (a la marta: see fourth photo). this has actually been in the works for awhile now, in a slightly less organized fashion. my pile of glossy magazine clippings has been given a space, each in their respective plastic sleeve, in a festive green binder and waiting for more. i hope to include an ideas for future years section as well, where i will be sure to list things such as recipes to try, decorating inspiration, and diy gift ideas.
in other news, last night i produced a number of christmas cards while watching sing off. (is everyone else enjoying this show as much as me?) i've been handmaking my christmas cards for years now, but with everything going on this year, there hasn't been much time to devote to luxuries such as card-making. i did put together a few, and it was quite therapeutic. (of course, doing anything while singing along to a capella versions of jackson 5 classics or journey hits must be therapeutic...) my hope for next year is to get enough produced to really get a shop going. we will see.
