i love that this morning, a wet sopping, cold day in march, i could reach into the pantry and pull out a jar of homemade strawberry rhubarb jam. popping open the jar brought me right back to last may, when the days were warm, windows were open, and i was making weekly trips to the farmers' market

i keep telling myself that these days aren't too far off, and that all the rain will eventually give way to sunshine and blooms.

in the meantime, jam will do.
